Enoch the First Prophet—Enoch was the first prophet among mankind. He foretold by prophecy the second coming of Christ to our world, and his work at that time. His life was a specimen of Christian consistency. Holy lips alone should speak forth the words of God in denunciation and judgments. His prophecy is not found in the writings of the Old Testament. We may never find any books which relate to the works of Enoch, but Jude, a prophet of God, mentions the work of Enoch (Ibid.).{1BC 1088.2}

Enok var den første profet. - Enok var den første profet iblandt menneskene. Ved en profeti forudsagde han Kristi andet komme til vor verden, og hans arbejde på det tidspunkt. Hans liv var en foregangsmand i kristen livsførelse. Kun hellige læber kunne sige Guds ord i fordømmelse og domme. Hans profeti findes ikke i det gamle testamentes skrifter. Vi kan aldrig finde nogen bog som beretter om Enoks ord; men Judas, en Guds profet, nævner Enoks arbejde. (Samme.).
