Meeting Satan’s Crowning Deception—Satan came as an angel of light in the wilderness of temptation to deceive Christ; and he does not come to man in a hideous form, as he is sometimes represented, but as an angel of light. He will come personating Jesus Christ, working mighty miracles; and men will fall down and worship him as Jesus Christ. We shall be commanded to worship this being, whom the world will glorify as Christ. What shall we do?—Tell them that Christ has warned us against just such a foe, who is man’s worst enemy, yet who claims to be God; and that when Christ shall make His appearance, it will be with power and great glory, accompanied by ten thousand times ten thousand angels and thousands of thousands; and that when He shall come, we shall know His voice (The Review and Herald, December 18, 1888). {6BC 1105.11}

2. Korinterbrev

14 (Matt. 24,24; Joh. 10,4; se EGW til Ef. 6,10-12). Møde Satans største bedrag. - Satan kom som en lysets engel i ørkenen for at bedrage Kristus. Han (1106) kommer ikke til mennesker i en hæslig skikkelse, som han somme tider fremstilles, men som en lysets engel. Han vil udgive sig for at være Jesus Kristus og udføre store mirakler. Mennesker vil falde ned og tilbede ham som Kristus. Det vil blive os befalet at tilbede denne skabning, som verden ærer som Kristus har advaret os mod netop sådan en fjende, menneskets værste, som vil sige, at han er Gud. og at når Kristus kommer, vil det være i kraft og herlighed ledsaget af tusind gange tusind og ti tusinde gange ti tusinde engle og at når han kommer, vil vi kende hans røst.
