And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs." He could make no further resistance, for all ground for excuse was removed. 255

Du skal tale til ham og lægge ham ordene i munden, så vil jeg være med din og hans mund og lære Eder, hvad I skal gøre. Han skal tale på dine vegne til folket; han skal være din mund, og du skal være som Gud for ham. Tag nu i din hånd denne stav, som du skal gøre tegnene med! Han kunne ikke gøre mere modstand, for ethvert grundlag for undskyldninger var fjernet.
