Det var tydeligt at se, at folket stod på de misfornøjedes side, men Moses gjorde ikke forsøg på at forsvare sig selv. I menighedens nærværelse bad han højtideligt Gud om at bevidne, om hans motiver havde været ædle og hans opførsel korrekt, og bønfaldt ham om at være dommer. |
