I would call especial attention to the remarkable dreams given in this little work, all with harmony and distinctness illustrating the same things. The multitude of dreams arise from the common things of life, with which the Spirit of God has nothing to do. There are also false dreams, as well as false visions, which are inspired by the spirit of Satan. But dreams from the Lord are classed in the word of God with visions and are as truly the fruits of the spirit of prophecy as visions. Such dreams, taking into the account the persons who have them and the circumstances under which they are given, contain their own proofs of their genuineness. {1T 569.2}May the blessing of God attend this little work. {1T 570.1}

Jeg vil på en særlig måde henlede opmærksomheden til de usædvanlige drømme der er givet i dette lille værk, alle er i harmoni med hinanden og klart viser det samme. De fleste drømme kommer fra livets almindelige ting, som Guds Ånd har intet at gøre med. Der er også falske drømme, såvel som falske syner, som er inspireret af Satans ånd. Men drømme fra Herren klassificeres med Guds ord, sammen med syner og er ligesom synerne frugterne fra profetiens ånd. I betragtning af personerne, som får dem (570) og omstændighederne de gives under, indeholder disse drømme sin egen irettesættelse, i deres uforfalskethed.
