“The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Brother and Sister K, had you walked in the light as it shone upon your pathway, had you been drawing nearer to God, steadfastly believing the truth and walking humbly before God in the light He has given, you would now have an experience that would be of inestimable value. Had you improved the talents lent you of God, you would have shone as lights in the world. But light becomes darkness to all those who will not walk in it. In order to be accepted and blessed of God as our fathers were, we must, like them, be faithful. We must improve our light as the ancient, faithful prophets improved theirs. God requires of us according to the grace that He has bestowed upon us, and He will not accept less than He claims. All His righteous demands must be fully met. In order for us to discharge our responsibilities, we must stand on that elevated ground which the order and advancement of holy, sacred truth has prepared for us. {3T 64.3}

»Retfærdiges sti er som strålende lys, der vokser i glans til højlys dag.« Bror og søster K! Havde I vandret i lyset som det har skinnet på jeres stivej, (65) havde I været draget nærmere Gud, have en fastere tro på sandheden og vandre ydmygt for Gud i det lys, han har givet jer, ville I nu have en erfaring der ville være af uvurderlig værdi. Havde I udnyttet de talenter Gud har lånt jer, ville I have skinnet som lys i verden. Men lys bliver til mørke for alle dem som ikke vil vandre i det. For at blive godtaget og velsignet af Gud som vore fædre blev, må vi, ligesom dem, være trofaste. Vi må udnytte vort lys som fortidens trofaste profeter benyttede sig af deres. Gud stiller krav til os efter det han har givet os og han vil ikke godtage mindre end han forlanger. Alle hans retfærdige pålæg må efterkommes fuldt ud. For at vi kan efterkomme vore ansvar, må vi stå på den grund som den hellige, indviede sandhedens orden og fremmarch har beredt for os.
