The willing subjects of Satan are faithful and active, united in one object. And although they will hate, and war with each other, yet they will improve every opportunity to advance their common interest. But the Great Commander in heaven and earth has limited Satan's power.

Min erfaring har været noget helt særligt, og i årevis har jeg haft særlige trængsler i mit sind. Guds folks tilstand, og min forbindelse med Guds arbejde, har ofte betynget en vægt af bedrøvelse og modløshed som ikke kan udtrykkes. I årevis har jeg set på graven som et lifligt hvilested.
