The High Calling of God in Christ Jesus. - As we near the close of time, the current of evil will set more and more decidedly toward perdition. We can be safe only as we hold firmly to the hand of Jesus, constantly looking to the Author and Finisher of our faith. He is our mighty Helper. We are to seek God in unity of purpose. We are not to make our ideas and views a criterion for anyone else; we are not to set our stakes that we are all right, and our brethren wrong. We should devote ourselves to the study of the plan of salvation, that we may have an appreciation of how highly Jehovah has valued the salvation of man.

Nu, hvor tidernes ende nærmer sig, vil ondskabens flod løbe hurtigere og hurtigere mod fortabelsen. Vi kan kun føle os sikre, hvis vi holder fast ved Jesu hånd og bestandig ser hen til ham, som er vor tros banebryder og fuldender, Han er vor mægtige Hjælper. Vi skal søge Gud i samme hensigt. Vi skal ikke gøre vore egne ideer og synspunkter til et kriterium frem for noget andet; vi skal sætte vore standpunkter, for at være helt rigtige, og vore brødre forkerte. Vi bør hellige os selv til studiet af frelses planen, så vi må påskønne hvor højt Jehova har værdsat menneskenes frelse.
